Mission

The mission of Global Neuro YCare is to EDUCATE through the creation and translation of materials and programs for children, youth and families;  ADVOCATE with national and international organizations to guide the creation of regional, cultural and country-specific programming; and SUPPORT research addressing the needs and experiences of young carers.

Through education, advocacy, and research, we work to ensure that young carers and their families - worldwide -  have access to the resources, knowledge, and community they need to navigate their caregiving roles with confidence and support.

Vision

We envision a world where every child, youth, and young adult caring for a person living with a neurological condition has access to education, resources, and support reflective of their culture and language.

Who Are Young Carers?

Children, youth and young adults who support a family member or friend who needs assistance due to illness, injury disability, mental health issues, or substance misuse. This care can involve practical tasks like cooking and cleaning, as well as personal care and emotional support; Including complex neurological conditions including ALS, Parkinsson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and spinal cord injuries

What We Do

We create engaging, accessible, and culturally sensitive books and materials to support young caregivers on their journey. From graphic novels and guides to resource toolkits, our materials are designed to help children, youth, and families better understand neurological conditions and navigate the challenges of caregiving.
